On this guided ice climbing trip, we will start by ensuring a solid foundation of movement skills so that you can easily climb steep ice.
You will follow a progression from the Ouray Ice Park to multi-pitch backcountry routes and graduate as a competent ice climbing partner.
Once we venture into the backcountry, Cirque guides’ extensive knowledge of the San Juan Mountains ensures we choose routes with the best ice conditions and a well-executed itinerary covering Ouray, Silverton, and Telluride.
Additional training in transitions, mixed climbing, and more complex techniques can be provided, if desired.
