Learning, mastering, and implementing ice climbing skills… elevated. This 4-day outing will allow you to experience all that Southwest Colorado has to offer for ice climbing.

There’s no better place to spend your days on ice than the San Juans, where we can link venues like the Ouray Ice Park, classic front country crags, and remote backcountry climbs from Telluride to Durango.

The ultimate experience to become a next level ice climber combining movement, efficiency techniques, transitions, cragging, alpine ice climbing styles, and so much more.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1: We start with a day in the Ouray Ice Park, a.k.a. “the best ice climbing gym in the world” with a full day of movement teachings or refinement.

Day 2: we continue in the Ouray Ice Park, mastering movement skills on steeper terrain, and practicing the transitions needed for multipitch ice climbing.

Day 3: we venture outside of the Ice Park into a local Ouray Ice Climbing venue, where we sample multiple short routes of different character, and we learn or master mixed climbing and dry tooling if desired.

Day 4: this is “graduation day”, where we have every ice climbing venue throughout the San Juans at our disposal. We’ll alpine start and drive the distance to a long multipitch route where we put all of our learned skills together to tackle a renowned Colorado Classic and round out your “Ultimate Ice Climbing Trip”.

If you’re spending time in the Ouray Ice Park, we highly encourage you to buy a membership. The membership grants you 30 minutes early access, Ice Park swag, and local business discounts.
