A classic Alaskan route up 3,000 feet to stunning views!

The Ham & Eggs route involves it all! Steep snow, ice climbing up to AI4, rock & mixed sections and the best ridge walk you can imagine.

This is the perfect route for someone who has experience on multipitch ice routes and wants to bring their fitness and abilities to the next challenge.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day One
Flight to ANC and private shuttle to Talkeetna, where we provide welcome dinner and your first night at the hotel.

Day Two

Early morning gear packing and NPS check in, followed by late morning flight onto the glacier. Camp set up in the Root Canal Glacier.

Day Three – Seven
Climbing period. During this time, we can climb the first few pitches, or perhaps boot pack the approach, a rest day or weather day and we choose the best time to tackle the route. If time allows, an ascent of a secondary peak like “The Wisdom Tooth” or another route like “Shaken not stirred” is also possible

Day Eight

Dismantle camp and fly out in the morning, dry and clean gear and shuttle back to ANC for evening departures. A celebratory pizza dinner at the Mooses Tooth Pizzeria in Anchorage has become a tradition!
