Trust us, you want to experience climbing in the Black Canyon. The adventure begins long before the first pitch. We’ll descend into the canyon at sunrise, often downclimbing and rappelling just to reach the base of the route.
Once we’re down there, there’s only one way out: up. Epic days unfold on steep, complex metamorphic walls, where route-finding is as much a part of the experience as the climbing itself.
Suddenly we top out & the canyon opens beneath us & the scale settles in. What felt wild and committing hours before gives way to an unbelievable view and, almost unbelievably, a short walk back to the car.
We can plan climbs as early as April, and go as late as November. Experience the adventure of climbing in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park with expert an AMGA Rock Guide or IFMGA Mountain Guide.
