The Upstream Via Ferrata provides an extra challenge as it winds its way through Ouray’s impressive Uncompahgre Gorge.
Designed to push your limits with sustained and steeper climbing sections, free-hanging ladders, and precarious rock steps.
To ensure success, climbers need to have completed the Downstream Via Ferrata (or have similar experience).

Trip Length
The Upstream Route takes an average of four hours to complete. Some parties may finish in three hours, others might need five.
Group Size
This private trip can accommodate most group sizes. There can be a maximum of three climbers per guide.

Equipment
We provide all technical equipment (via ferrata lanyard, harness, helmet, gloves). Participants must bring shoes with good tread and weather appropriate clothing.
