BACKCOUNTRY SKI COURSES

Navigation and Tour Planning

Design and navigate your own backcountry tours.

Great skiing days are crafted through thoughtful planning and the ability to adapt in the field.

We’ll cover practical skills including reading maps, using digital planning tools, assessing terrain for avalanche hazard, and linking it all together into a logical tour plan.

Out in the field, you’ll practice navigating with maps, compass, and GPS, while also making real-time decisions as conditions and terrain shift. This balance of classroom and on-snow learning helps turn theory into instinct.
