BACKCOUNTRY SKIING COURSES

Ski Mountaineering

Climb up peaks & ski off of summits!

There’s nothing like setting the perfect skin track up the side of a mountain and laying incredible turns from the summit.  Learn the art of ski mountaineering in this three-day course

This course is a fantastic introduction for those who are looking to take their skiing/riding to the next level. Become proficient in advanced techniques such as belayed skiing, ice/snow climbing, terrain navigation, hazard mitigation, steep ski technique and more.

Your program will be tailored by AMGA Certified Ski Guide or IFMGA Mountain Guide to find the perfect ski mountaineering missions for the group. We primarily base the course out of the backcountry mecca of Silverton, however we can customize your program to be based out of Telluride, Ouray or Durango.
