The AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) Course is a lot of people’s first steps in pursuing guiding & outdoor recreation as a career path. This course covers essential teaching/language skills, managing your climbing site, all technical systems, basic rescue skills, professionalism, and so much more.

Our friend, and extremely accomplished guide, Joshua Jarrin, will be instructing the course from October 22nd – 24th in Durango, Colorado. We will be utilizing local crags such as X-Rock, Sailing Hawks, and possibly Flume wall depending on conditions.

Is This Course Right For Me?
This course is designed for experienced/intermediate rock climbers with traditional leading experience. Motivations for signing up can be to expand your personal climbing practice/knowledge, or if you want to take others climbing safely & competently.

Course Length
Plan for 3 full days of instruction.

Meeting Location
We will meet in town in Durango. Specific location will come with course registration.

Equipment List
Please bring your own personal climbing equipment (harness, helmet, shoes, any other gear you want). All group & instructional gear is provided.
