Master anchor building and gear placement, and hone your overall mountain awareness and risk assessment skills.

ITINERARY

Day One
Morning will begin with addressing movement tactics and enhancing awareness of the mental and physical skills for climbing. We will introduce a number of ropework techniques and managing efficient and elegant ways of transitioning up and down rock climbs.

Day Two
Participants will have the opportunity to lead or mock leas and get individual coaching in a short multi-pitch setting. We will practice transitions and cutting edge techniques in order to make you confident when approaching climbing objectives.

Is This Course Right For Me
Participants are required to be proficient 5.9 climbers. Leading climbing is NOT required on the course, but students with appropriate experience and skills will have the opportunity to lead.

Trip Length
2 days of 8 hours of climbing instruction and practice.

Group Size
This course is limited to 8 students and has 2 instructors.

Departure Time
8:00 a.m.

Meeting Location
TBD in Durango, Colorado.

Equipment
Participants must bring their own harness, helmet, belay device, personal tether, and climbing shoes. Students can bring their own traditional climbing gear, but it is not required.
