ROCK CLIMBING COURSES

Sport to Trad

Learning the craft of traditional climbing.

Traditional climbing is the natural next step after sport leading. In this course, we’ll guide you through the fundamentals of placing and assessing gear, building anchors, and managing rope systems, all in a supportive, hands-on learning environment.

Trad climbing also means developing a different relationship with the rock. Without fixed bolts, you’ll learn to see cracks, features, and lines in a new way, placing protection as you go, and building trust in your own craft. It’s technical, thoughtful, and deeply rewarding.

Most importantly, learning trad opens the door to a whole new world of climbing. From long alpine multipitch classics to remote crags where few have ever ventured, trad climbing gives you the tools to explore further, climb bigger objectives, and even write your own first ascents.
